YOUTH NEWS!!
A change in Structure…
Beginning this year, I will be the Youth Director for Great Falls UMC only. The Andrew Chapel/Great Falls combined youth program was a challenge I am proud to say that I gave a good effort to lead. I am connectional by nature and shared the view of both churches that this could be a great experience for these youth programs… and it truly was! Throughout the course of the year, there have been wonderful connections between youth from both churches and shared experiences that could have only come about through this combined program. However, as the time went by I found myself having a difficult time keeping up with everything that goes along with leading a combined program and being on staff and involved with two churches. After a great deal of thought and prayer (going back and forth on this a lot!) I decided to resign from the role I served in last year as the Youth Director for the combined ACGF Youth Program. I felt I could serve better in a role that focuses on one church congregation and culture. So, as I stated above, I will be focusing my energy on the youth of Great Falls UMC as the Youth Director here only, beginning in September. The status of the combined Andrew Chapel/Great Falls Youth Ministry will be discussed and become clearer in the coming months. This is a transition for me personally with respect to the role that I serve in. I look forward to continuing a relationship with the youth and adults from Andrew Chapel and in ministry with the youth program there in whatever form that takes.

6pm-8pm Great Falls Kick-Off!! Come join the fun, eat some food, and enjoy the fellowship as we begin the New Year. All youth, grades 6-12, and their parents are invited to come and play games, eat dinner, and hear all about the exciting new year for the Great Falls Youth Group!! Invite your friends to join us for this fun and fantastic kick off! Bring a filled out and signed copy of the UMYF Permission Slip available from www.greatfallsumc.org or the info wall in the hallway.
